The size of your problem is nothing compared to your ability to solve them, the English department of Sacred Heart College has proven it. In spite of all the difficulties of covid season, English association inauguration was conducted through an online platform for the first time in history on July 3, 2020.
The programme started with a prayer song chanted as gratitude to the gods. Fr Sabu Thomas kicked off the function with a welcome speech followed by an inaugural speech by Fr Prashant, our respected principal. Jayaram sir is a retired professor from our college responsible for a number of art works which adorn the college halls and gardens. He gave us a scintillating speech in which he sparked the minds of the students while talking about the importance of literary theories and it's applications on the research fields of the literary world . We all felt blessed for the opportunity to see him in action.
Teachers and students made the evening more eventful by showcasing their outstanding talents. Professor Shijo Varghese played flute to the song "lokam muzhuvan sukham pakaranayi" as a prayer for the recovery of the whole world from the covid pandemic .
